Stand Out

My grandfather stationed somewhere in Texas in the late 1950s, early 1960s.  This is a enlarged photocopy of the original and has been altered with acrylic paint washes, dimensional art pens, a fine point micron pen, permanent markers, and colored pencils.  The frame was created using gobs of modeling paste, paint, and a water soluble crayon.  The substrate is a 10″x10″ pine board.

We have adopted that cute little birdie named Gogog.  She’s a lovely little thing.  She adores Jason and nests in the collars of his shirt.   She sits now on my shoulders as I type.

Odin, my lovely XL German Shepherd, could care less about her.  In fact he wont even look at her.  The cat is slightly interested but nothing too concerning.  I’d say the cat threat is a “yellow.”  Yes, cat-alert-yellow at this point.

Hot Fudge and Green Cheeks

Welcome to my brand new blog!  What an amazing cousin I have to be able to create this lovely layout.  Thank you, Zoe.

Stay tuned for exciting art and craft ideas and tips on multitasking through life with two kids, two chickens, a dog, a cat, a messy house, and a passion for making art.

There may soon be another member in the family;  a Green Cheek Conure named after a Lord of the Rings character- something like “Gogog.”

1 tbs cocoa powder

1 tbs sugar

1 tbs butter

1 tbs milk or half &half

Mix the above in a pan on med/low heat until just bubbling.  Pour on ice cream and enjoy!
